Default Chili Time!!!

Got a pot of chili on the stove simmering for dinner tomorrow. Well, I say for dinner but whenever I make chili it gets eaten anytime of the day or night. Anyway, I got to thinking about homemade chile toward the end of last week and my wife mentioned it the other day then add in the chili weather we have this week and that means it time to make some chili.
Browning the ground beef and of course having a cold Abita Turbodog

A fresh jalapeno pepper sliced up for the chili

Don't you just love the look and smell of the onions, bell peppers and tomatoes cooking down?

Meat added and time for a good simmering

Time to add that sliced jalapeno and beans right after that

While the chili was simmering I grated a big block of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese for putting on top of the chili per bowl.

Good lawd Nate! We made a big chili Sunday night that I thought looked amazing until I saw this. Fresh chopped jalapeños and graded cheese makes my season blend and bagged cheese look like something from a can.

Got home late this evening after going to visit the mother-in-law and thinking about a hot bowl of this chili had me starving.
This was it finished last night.

I had planned to make a pan of cornbread but settled for saltine crackers with it.

Hit the spot and it was really good!

Dude that looks amazung. Very nice blend of colors too. I've put fresh jalapeno peppers in mine before but I will be trying it. I love cheese in my chilli also. A little dalup of sour cream is good too. Bang up job bro
