Default Venice Bulls

Today I ran a trip for Fish on guide service. The customer requested big reds. I was at a place a few days ago that was good but the bite died shortly after I got there. I started in the same place today and we were hooked up almost at once.

The 2 sons were doing well with the fish. It was game on right from the beginning.

Dad was loosing some before they got to the boat. These fish were ripping the hooks right out of their mouths. After 4 or 5 lost fish dad finally gets one in the boat. It was a nice 28 pounder.

For the record our smallest was around 18 pounds. We kept nothing at all. I did take 56 pictures though. From 11 till a bit after noon the bite slowed but never stopped. We had several doubles.

I even got into the act when they were too tired to take the rod from me or they were hooked up also. I only had a chance to hook 3 fish today and had to fight 2 myself. One of them was a double.

Here is another double.

We also did battle with several Jack Crevalle. I think we landed 6 of them but lost a few during the battle also.

This was happening a lot. As I was taking a picture another would hook up and the reels would scream.

This was our last double of the day.

It was a day of father and son memories. The type of day that they will talk about forever. I have the same 3 guys tomorrow and I gave them the option of slot reds and/or trout but they want more of the same. They are charging all the camera batteries and cell phones tonight in preparation for tomorrow's action. I have set the bar high and hope the fish are still there tomorrow. Our biggest today was 31 pounds. Was it a good day? Hell Yes!

Life is Good!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
