That rolled edge hull in 24' prolly weighs less than a capped 22' bay boat , most 22ft bay boats have 225's I would say if you already have the 225 go wit it but if you were buyin a motor I would put the max hp so you don't have to run wot to get somewheres quick and if you do need the extra speed like runnin from storms or tourneys it's nice to have. Is the motor you have a 2 or 4 stroke?
