I worked a check station at Union WMA on opening day once and weighed in a 28 lb deer! It was field dressed though! Dude shot the deer in the neck with a very powerful rifle at 6 steps. He pulled up to the check station and went over to see what he had and if he needed help dragging it to the scales, he reaches in with one hand and throws it on the scales. Guy was just as happy as can be too. that deer musta lost her spots the night before
















he was from south of I-10
